Rear Bumper for '57 Styleside

I need a bumper for the rear of my '57 styleside, but I'm not interested in keeping in original. Has anyone tried a stepside bumper for that application? What is the width of the stepside bumper? Any other suggestions?

Also, I see several vendors have stainless steel bumpers
available. Are they worth the extra money?

hey im going to use the 56 rear bumper like DARYL check out his pics in his gallery DS59F100 his looks good hope this helps TERRY 19F10059

HEY RANDY im not sure on the brackets we probabley should ask DARYL they look as if they are 56 brackets but they may work for many years of trucks anyone out their know THANKS TERRY
