They knew they wouldnt let us get off scot-free with a $15 part that used to cost $130.
I might just be cynical, but I'm of the opinion the reason we saw the price drop so much just before the recall, was so that Ford didn't take as big of a financial hit when they had to replace all of them for free. Several million vehicles with a $15 part is a lot cheaper than the $130 part.
I remember an earlier post(a month or two back?) about you stating your truck having problems with a miss of some sort or something along those lines? Did you ever get that figured out?
All I know is, ford will NOT be getting my good black CPS's. They can take my old broken electrical connector one back.
Yes, it still shudders quite often below 2250RPM's, mostly when its cold. It sounds like a dead miss on two or so cylinders, may be the CPS, let me swap it out and i'll report back.
I'm pretty happy thats all it was. I would have never known if not for this site and the great knowledge around here. I did have to rev it up around 2500 before it set the cel if that matters. Normal town driving did not set it off. I had to get on it a bit. Also, my cylinders are all running at 0.0% now. What a difference. SO what's the new deal with the CPS? Are we going back in black again? Glad I never did the blue one.

Kris, are you sure the compression is still ok?
Clearing up at higher rpm and/or warmer operating temperature is never a good sign.
Compression still sucks. It blew blue/white smoke for over 30 seconds the other night when i started it up. Im not doing a test again but i know its getting on the lower end. I wish i had the opportunity to do a full rebuild.

Well, that is the cause of your engine running bad.
Look no further.
Most likely your rings are getting weaker and the symptoms are beginning to manifest.
When the compression begins to get marginal it doesn't take but a few psi to send the low cylinder over the edge.
