Thx Dennis, that vin describes it all but the color, which is metalic
green with white sport stripes/green interior.
I'll probably have another vin lookup for you soon.
I found a wrecked f250 (late 70s early 80s) with an fe4v engine
(hopefully a 390). I want to build an HO390 with the combined engine parts.

Of course I'm trying to upgrade on the cheap.
I'm a bit reluctant to change the rear ratio as it will race on the freeway.
This is nesc. for heavy towing, but I would like to run light loads/daily driver also.
Tough choices i guess.

Okay... E can also be for Jade Poly (Dark Green)
However, the Z in the trim scheme is a mystery to me.
Check this digit again please
The so-called *sport stripes* may be the Explorer striping (which isn't in the coding.)
Do you have a photo of it ?

ps, Most of my info posted is from memory and is verfied when I get near an appropriate source..
The rest is from the 76 Ford shop manual (like the first 2 digits of the trim scheme).
However, the Z in the trim scheme is a mystery to me.

the FE was dead in 1976 so the truck you found won't have one. Also all you need is crank and rods and pistons.
