Looking back
I have painted it twice, changed the doors, changed the tailgate twice, changed the bed, swapped out the rear end, changed the engine from a 360 to a 390, and installed 3 different 300/4.9 engines, swapped out the steering box twice, rebuilt entire steering system, installed maybe four diff. efans, changed radiators 4 times, swapped to all disc brakes, installed a 130 amp alt, installed hydroboost system, saginaw steering pump, installed 7 or eight carburetors, installed new side of the bed, spliced in bottom of passenger side door post, bottom of pass. side fender, installed new floor on passenger side, roller rockers, ported the head, installed 2 sets of headers, 2 intake manifolds, new gas tanks, installed and removed after 10 years the 38 gallon rear tank, installed custom audio, killmat sound deadener, sprayed the inside of the bed with Summit spray on liner, but out the bottom rear of the cab and welded in new patches, rebuilt the entire vent/heat system, changed from C6 auto to zf5 manual, installed time delay wiper control, and many other things.
Now, it is so nice drive and appreciate it.
The blue and white was done in a booth. I paid $700 and supplied the paint. The guy missed spots!
The red and white paint job I did myself in my driveway. For a driveway paint job it came out great. I love it.
The carbs I've tried: 3 diff Autolite 4100's, both 485 and 600 cfm, 3 or four Quadrajets, one 750 and three 800 cfm models (and the 300 loved them all), three Summit Racing carbs, a 500 and 625 cfm Edelbrock, and a 465 cfm 4v Holley.
