The Battle Born kit is amazing and I thought it was easy to do. You can look here ( https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ebuild-94.html ) in my thread were I installed it. I do not have any special tools and did the install outside in a tent.
I was thinking the electric route, but just want to see if anyone has done the battle born setup and had any major issues. I need to get this ordered ASAP so it can be welded before the frame goes to powder coating. Thanks!
I don’t think you can go wrong with that setup either. I just didn’t want to notch the frame to make that work.
I just purchased their front cross member from them. I’m excited to see how it works out.
So I had purchased a bunch of old 16" rims and when I took them over to get sandblasted and powdercoated, I didn't realize that the ones I took did not have the "notches" for securing the hubcaps...I will likely get a different set of rims for the highboy and end up putting these of the green monster pictured below. Anyone have a good source for black gloss 16" rims the take the dog dish hubcaps? Or even unpainted (still toying with painting them Wimbledon white, maybe this is a sign).
