I need a new oil pump, it is scored pretty bad and there was no gasket between the pump and the block...Hopefully it will improve the oil pressure once this is fixed.
Melling has a high volume (+20%) or high pressure oil pump (will bypass around 80 PSI.) Any thought on those or should I go stock ?

I've been working for over a month on my truck, It snowballed as usual.. I'm like, while I'm in there I may as well do this and that too etc...so I'm doing the timing chain, oil pump and rebuild of steering pump, motor mount, exhaust manifold gaskets, new thermostat housing and other minor things, It's taking quiet a long time because I'm degreasing and preparing every parts removed for paint.
I'm almost done with the paint and going to start reassembly today.
The oil pump, timing chain and harmonic balancer really needed to be addressed. The only mistake I made was buying a oem camshaft sprocket and learning after these are not great, the nylon coating the teeth are known to get brittle and get into the oil pan and pump is what I read. I decided to install it anyway as this truck is not a daily driver and will probably drive 1000 miles a year at most and maybe the engine will run quieter ?
I also got the vacuum and refrigerant charge stickers reproduced because you cannot find them anywhere (for 5.0L EFI), I have a few extra for sale on ebay if anyone interested.
