I am building a truck for a good friend of mine. He brought me a 1977 roller and I was able to locate a 2006 CVPI detectives car that was wrecked. I am using the front end, engine, transmission, cooling system and fuel system (FPDM) in this truck. I had already torn it down, straitened the frame and CV swapped it before swapping in a 8.8 from a 2002 CV (for the correct width). Then we removed the cab and had the frame blasted and painted. We installed the new engine and transmission before dropping the cab back on. I have gotten as far as installing a new Tanks Inc tank and pickup with a Walbro pump and floatless sender. I will start the plumbing next as I have all new brakes to install from the booster bracket out. After that, I have a new Hotwire Auto engine/trans harness as well as a new American Autowire chassis harness and some Dakota Digital gauges, as well as a Retrosound Radio. Ill post more pics as I go.
Making some progress. All new brake components from the pedal out, including booster, MC, Nicopp lines and all new rubber lines. I am even using a kit from Range Industries for electric parking brakes. All new PTFE fuel lines, fuel filter and converted all of the power steering lines and transmission lines to PTFE and -6 AN fittings. Sanded and painted the firewall and inner fenders, and undercoated the bottoms of the front fenders. Slowly but surely its is coming together. I will install the core support next and fab some mounts for the cooling system from the donor car. Then onto the wiring.
What booster and M/C did you use? I bought a new MBM set up and they brakes are not "stopping on a dime", so I am back to troubleshooting. The pedal and bracket combo seems to be a crap shoot, any help/advise would be appreciated. Photos too....

This truck had a factory bracket and booster, so I went back with stock replacements. I did remove the combination valve on the frame and am using an adjustable proportioning valve to get the rear braking dialed in. What are the specs on your setup? Do you know the piston bore on your MC?
I have a '06 CV front and '10 Must rear 4 wheel dics. I do not have the specs in front of me but I talked to Wilwood, Leeds, one other I forget who and MBM/Pirate Jacks. They all were very helpful (a few others were not and got removed from my list) and they all landed on the same size/specs and I purchased the MBM with the new booster and pedal assy.

All new ruber lines? What combo valve are you using?
It can only be installed one way, it does look funny in the photo. But when fitting it up, there is that "rounded bottom" so it can only go on one way. It comes with 2 rods that thru the firewall to the pedal assy.
I have 16' of vac, not sure if I need to fix that before I move on.........
to make sure you have proper engagement between the booster and master. I did a similar swap (with rear drums) on my truck before I went with a CV swap. I actually worked with Pirate Jack to help develop this kit. It stopped well and my truck came factory without a booster or bracket. Also, looking at this picture, the bracket is mounted like the one on Blue Belle.
