Are you looking at a F250? Pretty sure it's the same as far as cameras and backup assist. The high capacity package is optional on the diesel 250's that upgrades the GCWR to 30,300 lbs. and includes the Dana M275 axle.
When I purchased my 2020, I asked the same question. What I found out was that the technology is the same. The only difference is the capacity rating of the truck.
While I am very proficient in backing trailers, I have found the set up and convince of the technology very useful. Primarily when backing straight for long distances.
yeah F250 I added the ultimate trailer tow package to my termor order then saw the pro backup assist and it confused me a bit. thanks for the clarification.
Another subtle difference is if you order the 5th wheel prep from the factory, they include the in bed 7pin connector. If you also have the Ultimate Trailer camera package and 5th wheel prep, they also add the 12 pin In bed connector for the trailer camera and trailer TPMS sensors.
If no 5th wheel prep is selected, no in bed connectors are included even if the Ultimate Trailer Camera package is selected.
Do both of these packages contain the same technology and cameras and the only difference is the high capacity capability?
The UTT includes the backup assist, the high capacity tow gives a F250 F350 components and higher GCWR. If you only opt for the UTT you do not get the rear axle or spring upgrade. You also get a lower GCWR.
I just bought a 2021 F350 and it has the optional UTT CAMERA PRO TRAILER BACKUP ASSIST. There was no 5th wheel prep so I understand from previous posts that I won't get the in bed connectors. Has anyone installed the 5th wheel sensor kit? Does it include -or- do I need the in bed connector? The truck was special ordered and then the person backed out of the deal. I just want to be sure I get any added accessories that are supposed to come with the UTT CAMERA PRO TRAILER BACKUP ASSIST package.
Was the customer installed trailer camera kit with/without TPMS on the order as well? If so, you should have a box in the truck (or in the dealer's parts department) containing the camera, wiring, replacement bumper 7/14 pin plug and TPMS sensors if ordered. the UTT cameras system on the truck includes the front, side, and rear cameras and a round **** on the dash for backing which should be already installed on the truck. If you start the truck and put it in reverse and the Sync display shows a "birds-eye" view of the truck, then you've got everything for that.

Well, it doesn't say if it was ordered with or without. (see pic of sticker) I do know it was not ordered with a 5th wheel prep package if that has any bearing. I talked to the salesman and he knows nothing of any box or anything. This option is new I believe and the dealer where I purchased my truck hasn't dealt with it very much at all.
I do have the **** on the dash and I do get a bird's eye view when in reverse. Looking at the Ford accessory site it appears that I need to purchase the TPMS sensor kit (without camera) since I already have a Furrion camera on the back of the 5th wheel. Only $500 more

Then you have everything. Only if you have the TRAILER TPMS, or TRAILER TPMS/CAM would there be anything additional. The only other thing you should have with the UTT is a small packet of stickers and instructions that should be in the glovebox with the owner's manual.
I finally got my Ford Aux Camera and TPMS kit and, from my experience: * Ford promotes Super Duty towing but IMO, does a ****-poor job of providing information about the options they sell including differences between the kits, what comes with them and any info about installation * Ford parts people and dealership people have little to no useful information about these kits
I had to walk my parts guy through the options referring him to Ford websites which are woefully inadequate. He told me it would come with the Yaw Sensor which I came with my F350 which has the UTT package. I knew it didn't but wouldn't have complained if it did. Of course he was wrong.
FYI: This weekend I read through the photocopied lousy instructions from Ford that came with the kit and found out that I'd have to replace the bumper mounted plug unit (1 plug unit has both trailer plugs in it) with the one supplied in the kit. It would have been good to know this and know that the kit replaces that plug's flat 5 pin trailer connector with the Camera Plug connector (in the lower position). And the kit comes with a 7-pin-to-5-pin adapter should you need to plug in a trailer with a flat, 5-pin plug.
By the way, if you have the Yaw Sensor and actually want to use it for the "Pro Trailer Backup Assist", you'll have 3 cables connected: (1) trailer lighting, (2) Yaw Sensor cable for Pro Trailer Backup Assist (those 2 go into the plugs inside the bed), and (3) the Camera cable that plugs into the new replacement plug in the bumper).
Here's a pic from https://www.levittownfordparts.com/s...8aAlLREALw_wcB (note this link is for -E version) that shows what's in the kit. Last 3 items in the lowest row are, in order: the adapter, the replacement bumper plug and the TPMS sensor.
The stickers are for conventional trailers. But I haven't seen them yet. The 5th wheel requires the sensor kit. I won't need the camera since I already have one.
Thanks for the info!

I did find the stickers with the owners manual. Now I need to purchase the TPMS sensor kit without the camera. I already have a backup camera on the RV.
