WHERE'S MY SWAG?!? Membership Support Issues here please
- First one:
- Is it "Ad-Free FTE" as described on the main forum page (here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/index.php) or
- Is it "Fewer Ads!" as described on the Available Subscriptions page (here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/payments.php)
- Second: what's the country of origin for the current Trucker Cap?
- Third: is the Trucker Cap velcro closure (hope it isn't)
@frambach , I will forward your concerns and questions to the appropriate IB staff who can answer.
I have zero experience with any of the FTE Trucker Caps (or any other FTE swag), but I can provide some insight on the "Ad-Free FTE" and "Fewer Ads!" browsing experience on FTE.
In a nutshell, I can no longer look at FTE without being signed in as a member. The difference is that stark, and once one gets used to not seeing unwanted videos popping up, the screen moving around, etc, there is no going back.
I prefer peace and quiet on the screen. No moving pixels unless said movement was initiated by my intent, not the advertisers.
Down to the specifics, on the page that I am currently typing on, I have scrolled all the way up to the top, and all the way down to the bottom, and do not see any ads at all. Not one single ad, banner, or logo. I'd call that Ad Free.
However, once I hit send on this reply, and back out of this specific topic, and back out of the sub-forum this topic is in, and finally arrive at the master index of all sub forums, I will see the little logos of FTE sponsors associated with the sub-forums they sponsor in the master list of sub-forums. The short and exclusive list of these special vendors whose small logo appears statically with the forum they sponsor is as follows:
@DP-Tuner of DP-Tuner sponsors two (2) sub-forums, including the 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel sub-forum, the 1999 - 2003 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel sub-forum
@BroncoGraveyard of Bronco Graveyard sponsors two (2) sub-forums, including the 1966 - 1977 Early Broncos sub-forum, and the 1978 - 1996 Big Broncos sub-forum
@Riffraff Performance of RiffRaff Diesel Performance, Inc. sponsors the Excursion sub-forum
@DZL JIM of Rosewood Diesel Shop sponsors the 1994.5 - 1997 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel sub-forum
@XtremeDiesel & @JeremyXDP of XDP sponsors the General Diesel Discussion sub-forum
@fordmdb of 5 Star Tuning sponsors the Modular V10 (6.8L) sub-forum
@Diode Dynamics of Diode Dynamics sponsors the 1999 - 2016 Super Duty sub-forum
@Peragon of Peragon Enterprises sponsors the Bed Covers, Tonneau covers, Toppers/Canopies & Bed liners sub-forum
And that's it. That is all I see. And what is visible is just a logo to the right of the forum name on the master forum list, not a moving, wriggling, distracting, dynamically changing banner ad. I'd call that Fewer Ads.
Here is what that looks like:
We'd be delighted to have you join us, and either way, we tip our hat (where ever it may be made) to you for asking such great questions!
