bobcatv8.org for a couple of pics of all these cars.
my first legal race is one saturday at the 1/8 mile on an airport. Anyway it has a 350hp 351w, a toploader 4sp, 3.00 open rearend 9inch but will have a 3.25 posi rearend by the end of tomorrow, it also has a 2/4 drop, custom interios with a sony/alpine/JL sound system worth 2grand, and much much more.
I had a '50 Chebby coupe with a 400 inch olds that I used to drag in the C-Gas class with little success. I had a full race 40 inch Triumph that weighted just over 300 pounds that got me to the final trophy dash a few times.

racing on streets and highways count? Otherwise i have raced my 1979 f150 with a 390, my old 1989 topaz with a 2.3, 86 sable with a 3.0, 97 taurus with a 3.0, my old 1978 150 300 6. I have raced everything i have owned at one time or another. Had a sucessful race against the police in the 89 topaz.
I had a '99 lightning that I sold, it would easily outrun stangs, camaros, firebirds, any setup they would throw at me. Never raced that one at a track though, always out in the boondocks where there is always at least one fresh paved back road. Only cars I have ever raced at a track was an 87 Pontiac GTA, 400 small block chebby TPI, nitrous, uncapped headers it ran low 11's on street tires and 74 duster 440 hemi heads tunnel ram, 727 manual reverse valve, also nitrous ran just under 10 on slicks strickly drag car though. Neither were my car. I still drive the duster on occasion, it is my best friends car. Fun car to drive too....

Sinner the important thing is that you beat the Civic
I raced my 1976 F250 in the mud bogs and sand drags and beat most of the other guys, including the Toyotas with small block Chebbies in them
I also raced it on the old highway a couple times against other trucks and usually won. I had a 428CJ with big cam, 427 Cobra dual quad intake etc.
Currently I race my T-Bird stock car. It has a 351W. I'm in top points and have the track record. The Chev guys hate it
First car I ever owned was a 51 Ford Supposidly had a 53 merc flat head in it.
In 61 I used to drag it and won some and lost some.
That car had 3 T handles under the drivers side of the front seat. Never did find out what they were for.
