ok what pieces are going to have to have to be fabricated for my putting the 77' dana 44 into my 96 bronco, I know it can be done labor wise for about 600 bucks and brakes are prolly another 200 or so but, i was told i was going to prolly have to get that fabritech kit for like $1800 and its like 8 or 9 pieces of metal, excuse me brackets, and they want 1800 dollars for it, i will rip up ttbs all day before giving fabritech that much money for some pieces of metal
You can do the swap with practially 99% stock parts.
What you need:
6" lift or greater coils for 78/79 bronco.
'77 Tierod
90's F350 4x4 draglink
(If the axle has disc brakes) reuse your calipers with 77 brakepads
extended brake lines
'77 trac-bar.
'77 radius arms, brackets, coil pads
7deg c bushings
what you need to make:
tracbar mount, must run parallel to the draglink
for the radius arm brackets you can either cut the face of the bracket and move them in 21deg. Or i have heard of offset degree radius arm bushings.
I posted my SAS parts list earlier, do a "SAS" search in this forum, and my list is under "jimmydean's" thread. I used 4" 78/79 coils, and they worked perfect. I also have swap pics in my gallery. I've seen about 15-20 different sas for these trucks, and I never saw 2 the same. You'll find a way. Good luck.
