I installed my welded EGR cooler today and checked and confirmed I have the updated STC fitting. All back to together and running but have the infamous exhaust leak at the y-pipe. Back on the tools tomorrow.
I've been hearing bad things about BFGs as of late. I'll run my Cooper's

Myself and Krazee Matt got a bad set of BFG KO 2's. My set wore down at 22K and his didn't even get there even with regular rotations and balancing.
They were kind enough to meet me half way on a another set of tires, but should they fail me again, Cooper ST Max for me and my trucks.
Well Monster might look pretty, but still no start. She only builds 200 oil psi during crank. No trouble codes, IPR starts at 14 and goes to 84 during crank, I can't find any leaks in the system and I have a brand new Dieslite HPOP. I'm at a bit of a loss for what to check next. I might have to break down and call one of the local(ish) shops for some help.

You know Bill, we know guy who just went through this exact same scenario about 2 months ago, and he swore he installed the o-ring correctly.
I would also make sure the IPR isn't preventing the truck from starting. I had this problem on a 2006 F350. They said they took it to get inspected and it wouldn't restart after, wouldn't restart cold either. We check the ICP while cranking and it shows all the familiar signs of dummy plugs. We replaced the dummy plugs and standpipes and the pressure got higher at 350 psi, but still no start. The IPR was replaced and it fired right up no questions asked.
I would also use shop air and make sure one of the top injector seals aren't leaking. One of mine are and my '05 will start run and drive, but not long after it's fully warmed up, it stalls and will only restart cold. I have the revised STC fitting and standpipes, but did the HPO rail nipple cups a little under 3 years ago. Just something else to consider.

when i was asking around one of the guys i talked to said he was on his 4th set for his work truck.. (4th set from wearing out not the exploding tire issue everyone brings up today anytime theyre mentioned) one of the things he told me was on his truck when he didnt rotate them he worn them out in about 20K-30.. now that hes rotating them he had gotten almost 50K out of the 3rd set and had close to 40K on the set that was on the truck when he was delivering our tractor.. which when i was looking at them they did look pretty worn down but still had some miles left in them..
sounds like its not building pressure... how strong is the crank?? if the engines not turning over fast enough it wont build the needed pressure to fire the injectors.
Good strong crank...I put the charger on the batteries, so no issues there.

I just took it apart to verify just that and all HPOP O-rings, stand pipe O-rings, and log style oil rail seals are good (or at least I don't hear/see any leaks from them).

I replaced the IPR and IPC while it was apart and used shop air to test the injector O-rings. I don't see or hear any leaks from the O-rings.
All good ideas...it's definitely not building pressure. The gauge only shows that I build 200 psi while cranking.
I replaced the stock HPOP with the Dieselite unit and I added oil three different times to prime the HPOP and when I pulled it out to verify that the O-rings were in place correctly, the HPOP was full of oil, so I'm pretty sure that it is pumping OK.
I'm starting to think that I must have missed something obvious or there's something strange going on.
Don't respond to this posting...I went ahead and started a new thread...
I don't think I would put up with tires that I can't get 75K out of.
being that theyre only rated for between 50-60K miles id say his life wasnt too bad for what he used his truck for.. wasnt like he bought pure highway/street tires that tend to have lifetime ratings in the 70-80K mile range... i use to run those kind of tires on my first few rides.. they tented to ride rough as to could be because of how hard the rubber was.. Softer the rubber composition the softer the ride..
Hauled home some oaks for camping & fire pit. It wasn't to far and my favorite price, free. Then I bucked it up in today's 93°+ heat so now I'm whooped. Now to split it.
Hot Doggie!
Tine to get the wiener out and cook em.
Had the pit burning. Found 2 ant colonies within Y's of 2 trees. Small ants and large carpenter ants. The carpenter ants were trying to move out with all their little white larvae. Pint of gas, pint of power steering fluid, 5 qts of waste oil, and 2 cans of brake clean later and the ants were gone. The last thing I need is an ant infestation moving into the 5er.
