This one was a week ago right after I got the cutouts done for the lights and lights installed I had finished the construction of the bumper.

Completed today.....Outside of a few minor alignment adjustments, installing the winch cable hook, and wiring the lights this bitch is done!

Finally it's complete

Next project will be the rear bumper and my spare tire rack. The spare tire rack is based upon the design of the Rhino lift tire carrier for the Humvee

Keep consider updating this thread with the rear bumper build?

How do you taper the angle iron piece at each end?

Looks great!

The taper on the angle iron piece I simply cut out the 90-degree Bend at an angle towards the opening had to use an angle grinder because my bandsaw won't hit a steep enough angle

I know it's been quite some time since I've updated this but I did get the truck painted not long after i finished the bumper actually..... well all except the roof anyways. I have also since added a set of West Coast mirrors due to losing the glass in the drivers side mirror and I had been wanting West Coast mirrors since 2007 so I figured what the hell....

I have also since this picture was taken changed to a set of Ironman All Country MT 315/75R16 tires.

I am probably going to be starting the rear bumper sometime in the next few weeks.... I need it done before I can wrap up the tire carrier build.

In an unrelated note from the bumper Friday I go up to Michigan to pick up a complete set of super duty seats that had been mounted in an 89 crew cab that are going to go in this truck.

First I've seen this thread and that bumper looks fantastic. Can't wait to see how your rear bumper comes out.

Thanks Man.... tomorrow I got to finish putting together a 1980 case 448 garden tractor yank some seats out of the back of my van that I just drove all the way to Michigan and picked up from a guy for 40 bucks (mind you that does not include the cost of fuel for a 500 Mile round trip) and then I get to rip apart the interior of a truck change out some seats and then I'm going to get started on the bumper

Another delayed post from me... knocked this out about 6 months ago..... this one gave me a lot of shrinkage problems that my front bumper didn't give me and I'm still trying to sort out why.....
