I was wondering why my Camaro was running way rich....
Pulled the carb (Holley 780) to check it out - swapped the 65 power valve for a 35, then checked the jets. It was supposed to have 72's in the primary. Jets were 70's... Did not make sense so out came my precision drills.. Yep, someone had drilled the 70's out to .082"!!!!!
I put a pair of good 70's back in it... Now to change the plugs later today...

No more or less work than some Mustangs I know of...
I think I'll go one heat range colder on the plugs. These are R45TS, so I will pick up some R44TS to replace them.
The cam is a bit too lumpy for the gears in the car, but I had built this engine for another car with much deeper gears. It will just have to do for now although if I were to keep the car, I would probably swap for a milder cam with 112 Lobe centers rather than the 110 it has now. The 3.31 gears are as steep as I would want for a 4 speed car like this.
