Can you not get a ball & socket big enough for the collector?

Looks awesome...ceramic coating when your done?

DIY ceramic coating?

When you painted your front suspension parts, did you replace bushings/ball joints, etc or just paint what was there?

Jet hot coating.

We replaced a few things on the CV. It was in great shape so not everything needed to be replaced.

Should there be play in the upper frame mount? (the aluminum part that pivots, the part the nuts come down on to) Once installed, I don't think there is any movement in this part.

Looks good, at least you can route your headers around it. Normally you need a third u-joint and bearing support to clear headers.

I usually use a vibration dampener u-joint in place of a rag joint(right at the steering column.) Maybe its just over kill. I'd be interested in knowing if I'm just wasting money on a more expensive u-joint. lol

Everything about this build is over the top, awesome work! Those gauges look sweet! I can't wait till you get the front sheetmetal back on...Do you already have a wheel/tire combo and size picked out?

Thanks man. Wheel and tire combo? Nothing is set in stone. 16s or 17s for wheels. Skinny up front and extra wide in the rear for tires. Going for an aggressive look.
