#2 cylinder isn't keeping up with the rest as detected by the PCM for a specified time period. It could mean a loss of compression but NORMALLY you can expect a bad injector. How's your truck running?
It misses badly intil its around the 170 eot (seems fine after that) mostly at idle and under 1500rpm. Ive just been letting warm all the way and not driving it much until I get it figgured out.
Could also be a ficm that is weak. One of trucks in our fleet throws cont/balance codes on random cylinders until it warms up. Its ficm is bad, going to try the resoldiering trick on Monday for it.
FICM is 8 mos old. new fuel filters will go on tuesday. I tried a can of sea foam as I supected injectors 134k on the clock run between 6 and 13 deg eoc ect all originial under the hood, but for Batts and FICM. Running a mild "no stud tune"
Hey guys, 2006 F250 6.0 I am having a P2066 code that just showed up this morning and it seemed to have a little bit of smoke. Every day where it is under 60* outside, the truck will have a slight misfire and had no smoke so I changed my oil to 5W-40 T6 with 8 oz of Rev-X oil additive and I had FoMoCo 15W-40 in it and that seemed to help for a day or two. I just installed all 8 injectors (190/100 from warren) about a month ago so it seems like I wouldn't have a bad injector...does anyone know what it could be?

Bad injector or bad cylinder. Were your injectors made from new Motorcraft reman's?
same happened to me but it was cycl 7. took it to the shop said it was a valve seat. so arp studs headwork and gaskets and new oil cooler just for safe measure. total of $3500. but at least shes bullet proofed now.
I just had cylinder 1 have some problems and it turned out to be a bad intake pushrod for the cylinder but I never threw a code for that cylinder... that's what is confusing me about this problem. All 8 injectors were from reman's that Warren had received from past cores.
would this code come up if the fuel was felled up? I had a low fuel pressure in the fuel rail code come up as well both when it was cold as hell

does the code come off once it’s warmed up tho or does cylinder 2 stay on still after deleting it?

does the code come off once it’s warmed up tho or does cylinder 2 stay on after deleting it? My truck has cylinder 1&2 on when first driving and just today 2 won’t clear, runs good on highway and in town when up to temp but once it’s stopped or parked you can tell it’s a little choppy.
