Oh...back to the beard thangy, mines grey (has been for a decade or two now) and my wife nor my kids have ever seen me without it....and I plan on keep'n it that way. They'll bury me with it...Jeez....now there's a thought. What if they get a wild hair and ask the mortician to shave it off?!?! DaaaAAAAaaam! OK....cremation..yup. That's the ticket. Thanks for helping me out with that one guys!!

Glenn Beck just (allegedly) tested and used the microphone used by Tokyo Rose, specifically Orphan Ann, who's real name was Iva Toguri. It hadn't been used since it was removed from the broadcasting station in Japan in 1945, right before they burned it down. I had goosebumps listening.
She was an American who happened to be in Japan at the start of the war. The Japs used her broadcasts to our troops. They wanted her to spread Japanese propaganda. Instead, she played music and said things like," Listen to these new tunes from the states and you better enjoy them because we are bombing site X tonight and you might not be alive tomorrow." The Japs never caught on that she was giving away information about the planned Japanese attacks. She also smuggled drugs into Japanese prison camps to help our troops.
When the war ended, the US conducted an investigation and found her innocent of treason and let her go. She returned to the States to find that the press had been stirring things up. She became so unpopular with Americans that people were allegedly paid to commit perjury against her. She was sentenced to 7 years of prison for committing treason, for doing what she could to save us.
