2004 6.0 4x4 rear dust shields

Removed the rotor, caliper, axle

More to come in a bit.

This was after pulling the axle

This is the hub nut.

Outer wheel bearing

Brake lines like this

Little oring on the end of the axle

No wonder they didn't work

This is the backside of the dust shield

This is the hub nut tool.

After getting the hub nut off, and the outer wheel bearing out, 3jaw puller,,,, 2 jaw would prob work also

Way easier to remove the e brake cable like this

Gotta separate the cable here

It's fairly easy to do by hand

Here's the seal $30 each

Very easy to pull the old seal with the puller

The tabs on the end of the cable are a little tricky to release

The studs have to come out to separate the dust shield

One of the claws on that hammer broke,,, but the lip in the center is where I needed to hit to separate them

Not much left on there.

Ok, the big spring that is on the back needs to be on the bottom. The two springs hook in the same hole, by making sure the back, bigger springs hooks are on the bottom half of the hole, then the smaller spring in the front, will clear the hub after mounting it.

That all the pics. Sorry but it was dark when I got back to reassemble it. Just thought I would take pics of this. Hope it helps someone.
I needed the $30 seals ($30 each ,,, needed 2) they are pictured
There are two orings, one on each end of the axle shaft,
Need the hub nut tool,,, pictured
Need the brake hardware kit.
Two dust shields
New e brake pads
Big 3 jaw puller.
The rest are basic sockets n stuff
Make sure the lugs on the wheels are torqued before torquing the axle shaft bolts. I think the axle shaft torque was 80ft lb.
