That is exactly why I asked if he was going aftermarket or factory lamps.
It will be a whole lot simpler and cheaper if he's going aftermarket to use a aftermarket on/off toggle switch. But he wants the interior to be close to original so that idea is moot.
I went from wanting to modify everything, to wanting to modify everything and have it look and feel as if it rolled off the line like that.

So in other words, do not hook them to the fog lights directly without a relay.
I will be using it as a signal switch only, no power going through it. I talked to one of the guys at Green Sales, and they did have 'em just like Bill said so I ordered one.
The 1986 switch goes into the same spot as 1980-1985. Just to the right of the wiper control ****. Take your instrument cluster bezel off and you can see the hole where it would tread into the dash assembly.
Hey, Bill, where do you get all these phone numbers?
I know what E, F & U are, what the Hell are A, B & R in the catalog?
PV: Click on the round blue button with the star on it. Found to the right of the source.
'Course, I may not have to, cuz I've memorized a few of the numbers (all 3 in post #21 were "off the cuff"), cuz I've been listing many a these sources since 11/2006.
High Buck! Bob Allen's 800 number isn't listed, but it is listed on the dealer locator. And the dealer locator sez: Overland Park KS, not Shawnee Mission KS
But, I only list Allen when only a coupla sources have the parts, cuz Allen wants MEGA-BUCKS for obsolete parts.
There is not enough demand to reproduce these switches, and if reproduced on the cheap, guess what the quality would be? Cheap!
Quality can be equated to oats. Fresh oats can be purchased from feed stores, poor quality oats can be found along the road someplace, after the horse passes by.
You get what you pay for...buy the best and cry only once.
They already "reproduce" these switches on the cheap anyway.
They are a comon, "Double Pole, Single Throw", or "single pole, single throw", switch. You can get them in most any design you want at the parts store. They will not match the factory switch or be able to use the factory **** or plugs, but it will work.
So why would there be a demand to reproduce the factory switch cheaply? They already make a cheap version that works. Might look like hell, and would not be desireable at all for a restoration, but works.
