Thank you DRRXR for the reference chart. The only odd thing with it is there is nother listed for 95 and older F350.

The guy I bought the first one through says he just pulled three others and, from auto and standard trans, and say they all look like the one he sent. I emailed him back to make sure they were 96-97 and if the tags were on them to see if they said 4407. Not sure if this makes a difference or not but my truck has the heavier weight rated ttp 50.

Wouldn't surprise me if ford threw some odd ball T case into my truck. Is there a place that would say what the output shaft diameter should be? Or if the same for the 250/350? Very perplexing.

Funny, sounds like my situation, well not really funny.

I was looking at this a couple days ago.

4407F was used in the 250 and 350, but only behind the E4OD and only in 96 and 97.

Yokes seem to be impossible to get.

I just got a 1356 BW for free!! Also a ZF5 4x4 tranny...

the BW has a slip in rear yoke, but on that yoke, the drive shaft bolts to...

Attachment 203498 That yoke slides in and out and the drive shaft bolts to it....

that case I have does not have a slip in the front...

Can you tell what it is?

That chart linked above is not totally acurate. I had a '95 F-350 with a 1356.

Matt, it's a 1356, slip in rear yoke.

wildstang 09-15-2010 07:44 AM

Ford seems inconsistent also. They just pull whatever fits that they have in the bin.

Kinda resurrecting a dead horse here. But just some more info for anyone needing it. My 97 was auto with 4407 tcase, no slip yoke front or rear, and I swaped to a hand shaker last year. The two went together without a hitch, and I've been beatin the crap outta it since.
