2001 Headlight Switch Removal
 

I have a 2001 F150 SCrew and need to remove the headlight switch. Can someone PLEASE help me with the solution. Thanks Will

There are 3 silver spring type retainers that hold it on. One is on the left side of the switch, one is on the top on the right had third of the switch and the other is on the bottom in the middle. There might be a 4th on the right side, but if you release the first 3 with a small screw driver you should be able to get it out. Pull the inspection cover off the left portion of the dash and you should be able to see the left hand clip.

I thought you had to remove the knob and twist it a certain way to remove it?.. or maybe its different on a Screw?

I think that just applies to 97-99 models.

Hey guys....thanks for the help I'll give it a try today.

Don't do the headlight knob twist procedure.. I tried this on my 2000 and ended up breaking it... follow the clip unlocking procedure.
