Join Us In Invading The 2009 Forum!

We in the Offroad forum have had it with these new truck fellers and their over hyping of AllTerrain tires and are settling it once and for all!

If anyone cares to join us for what will certainly turn into a BS session of near WAFTE proportions here is the link.

You might want to watch what you ask for!...There are a lot of new trucks in WAFTE. I even consider mine new, but it is a 1990.

MARTYSTOWRIG 01-30-2008 10:05 PM

mine is new enough

godblessmud 01-30-2008 10:46 PM

Mine is too new! I cant stand this newfangled fuel injection crap!

At 17 years old, my baby has fuel injection...I love her, but would rather have a carb...I guess at 45 I just am 'Old School'....lol

At 17 years old, my baby has fuel injection too!
And i WOULD rather have a carb. But can i be "old school" at 16? Considering how many musclecars and trucks ive worked on im going to go ahead and assume yes.

Huh, My vehicles are all fuel injected. Even my boat. Um, and company van...I also have MT's on my truck. Not the AT stuff.

lostmybeer 01-31-2008 12:35 AM

If you want, I'll even meet you on the track. Just 9,000.lbs cruising.

godblessmud 01-31-2008 12:38 AM

Id hate to see how that power/weight ratio comparison looks...

9000lb/444 cid turbo diesel
vs.
5000lb/302 n/a gasser...

First of the year, Feb. 16 Pacific Raceways. NHRDA. Come find out.

EFI? If it's got electronic ignition it's too new-
I'm finally (maybe) trading up out of my Galaxie and into a late 80s Lincoln Mk VII LSC, if the guys wants to go through with the trade.
Already dumped the XJ Cherokee in favor of a 75 Wagoneer, and I'm temporarily getting stuck with a late 80s New Yorker to fix and sell. If I can start picking up, fixing, and reselling cheap cars I might not have to go for a second job. I'll need to do two a month at around $350 profit per car at a minimum to make it really worth my while.

I like my 460 with the EFI in it, it's nice when you get sideways and almost upside down.

At least mine is still a non-turbo ... But I do like the diesel ... Might give it a boost in a few years ... As long as the prices don't go up too high between now and then ...

And if the price of fuel gets much higher I might think about putting a bio still in the garage ...

The prices are going to go up!...You have to make the decision of having a Ford, or perhaps a Yugo....LMFAO Just remember that there is always a price on fun!
