Question on Ford accessory stowaway rims ramps

Has anyone purchased the Ford accessory stowaway ramps? I like the fact they can stow away in bed of truck, just not sure they are worth that kind of money.

I didn't get many responses back when I asked about these in January, but here's what was in that thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ing-ramps.html. By the way, I went ahead and ordered them on my truck, just don't have it quite yet. Maybe in a couple of weeks, as its getting the spray-in bedliner at GFX this week.

Also curious about these

Had them

I had them in my 2015 F-150.
They are very sturdy, high quality, and come with a very robust cable lock system to keep them from becoming someone else's ramps. They mount to the bed walls with very sturdy mounts. If you wish to have a tonneau cover they do create clearance issues, depending on the cover.
if you need ramps, you will not regret ordering these.

I have them in my truck - they handle 800 lbs each. Nice that they stow along the bed wall so they don't take up any space on the floor of the bed. Also, the cables are keyed to your ignition key - which is nice.https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...60b4e15b60.jpg

And then I installed my top side tool boxes. The ramps are still accessible and out of the way!

what is the measurement from top of ramps to top of bed, I have backflip mx4 cover. Not sure they will fit by the way it looks. Thxs

Also, are the brackets that hold the ramps adjustable (up/down)? Like Drew5150 I think this will interfere with my tonneau cover brackets unless I can modify the hanger brackets to be positioned lower.

The brackets are made of heavy gage fabricated aluminium, they mount to the Boxlink attachment points, and they are not adjustable for height.
Modifications to the brackets would take some doing, and you would need the ability to weld aluminum.
I am not sure how much you could lower them anyway, because there is not a lot of clearance above the wheel wells as I recall.

Thanks that helps!

Has anybody worked out a bed cover that mounts with these OK? Is it the stowaway position or the tailgate bracket that interferes with the bed cover?

cheers,
section

The tailgate plate is no issue at all.
The ramps themselves are a problem when in the stowed position for any type of tonneau cover that extends below the bed rails.
Any tonneau system that sits entirely above the bed rails should not be a problem.

There is only an inch or so to the top of the bed rail. Below you might be able to drop them about 2 inches - if you could modify the brackets (or make your own). I have enough room to remove the ramps with my tool boxes on without trouble. I think the bed covers may be a problem if they have a center clamp - the end clamps both front and rear should not be an issue. You can see the tailgate anchor plate in the photo. No issues with that contacting bed covers.
