Rich (Tugly) warned early on to load a PID then run the test before going engine on. I had been running TP for a while but got a new phone and had to reload everything. I figured I'm a smart guy with good attention to detail. Pulled up the list of PIDs I normally used and loaded away. I was in a hurry to leave on a trip so I went out and plugged in and cranked up. Hit real time on my phone and the trucked hiccuped HARD (almost a backfire) and shut down. I thought crap hope you didn't hurt anything dumb-azz. :(
Deleted everything and started from scratch testing each one as I went. Finally got them all loaded correctly and no more problems. Lesson learned. |

Is this the paid version of TP? What is PID and how do you load them? Sorry but not quite literate enough to technology.
Pids are the formulas for different things you want to monitor. IPR duty cycle, ICP, battery voltage, etc. Spend the $5 or so and get the paid app. Once you buy it it's always yours and you can load it on any android device you get. There are some preloaded PIDs that come with TP and then you'll find more formulas here on FTE that you can load. Here's a thread, linked in Tugly's signature, that will help you get started https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...the-cheap.html |
