Pappy,
What caused your failure? Was the engine tired,or did it just blow? Did they blame it on the tuner? I am at 85 k. These reports are making me nervous. |

Nervous? me too. I have a 2009 v10 Lariat CC. had an Airaid CAI on it looking for more mpg, wasn't working. In fact someone pointed out that the CAI might actually rob power and mpg so I put the stock air filter back on. I was still considering going to a tuner but is that going to be a risk for this type of failure??? I've left the flowmaster exhaust on.

If you are going to put an aftermarket intake on the truck you want a custom tune with it or don't bother. The intake can throw off thing like the MAF. |
I put a "sock" on my Airaid intake just to increase the particle trap.
