Overview
Up for sale is a true factory 1974 Ford F-250 Highboy 4x4 (F26). This is a West Coast truck originally from California; it was purchased by the previous owner in 1985 and has remained in the PNW since. The sale includes a Marti Report and a collection of records dating back to 1985 that verify the 104k original miles. It starts, stops, and drives.Drivetrain & Mechanical
- Engine: 360 FE V8 (Fresh tune-up: plugs, wires, cap, rotor).
- Ignition: Upgraded to Pertronix Electronic Ignition (original points included).
- Transmission: C6 Automatic.
- Transfer Case: Divorced 4x4 unit (standard leaks present).
- Axles: Dana 44 Front / Dana 60 Rear.
- Steering: Factory "Ram" assist steering (standard leaks present).
- Brakes: New front brakes; front wheel bearings just repacked.
- Exhaust: Currently has leaky headers; factory replacement manifolds are included in the sale.
- Fuel: Factory in-cab tank. Also equipped with dual auxiliary saddle tanks (condition unknown; haven't been used recently).
- AC: Factory AC truck; currently non-operational (no belt).
- Battery: Brand new.
Body & Chassis
- Structure: No invasive rust on frame, cab mounts, rockers, cab corners, or drip rails. Magnet tests along key areas of the body show no bondo or filler.
- Floorboards: Leaky window seals (previously patched with silicone) caused rust in the floorboards. Sale includes two new AMD replacement floorboard panels. Rearward of the floorboards the metal is in great shape.
- Kick Panels: Small sections of rust along the edge of the floorboards (approx. 1" x 8") on each side requiring repair.
- Bed: Minimal surface rust only. The bed was preserved by a canopy for most of its life.
- Hood: Currently fitted with a non-original hood (paint match is off). It also needs to be aligned via the adjustment bolts. It sits too high at the moment. The original hood (minor leading-edge rust) is included.
- Tailgate: Operational, but has a center bow and damage above the handle. It is evident that filler was used to partially repair the dent above the handle. This is the only identified filler on the vehicle however.
- Paint: Older repaint. It presents well from 10 feet, but has some "orange peel" texture. Paint meter readings show the finish is quite thick and durable.
Interior
- Condition: Dash metal and door panels are in good shape.
- Seat: Original seat has some tears, but the foam remains firm/usable.
- Dash: Dash pad has some cracking; a dash cover is included.
- Steering Wheel: Aftermarket wheel currently installed.

- Original camper-style side mirrors (white).
- Original rear-view mirror & seatbelts.
- Original air cleaner housing, points, and condenser.
- Factory exhaust manifolds.

Important Notes
The truck fires right up and is mechanically functional. However, because the floor mats/insulation are currently out and the headers are leaking, it is very loud in the cab. I recommend trailering the vehicle home. This is an excellent candidate for a "rolling restoration" or a high-end build.Link to Photo Album upon request
