Description:
This is a high mount fan assembly and thermostat housing off a Ford Industrial 240/300 big inline 6. This set up was used on some of the industrial versions of the Ford 240/300's that were used in generators, water pumps and other equipment. The engineering # on the thermostat housing is C5JZ-8592-B.
It spins freely but could use a good clean up and some paint.
Sadly I do not have the matching crank pulley for this set up. It was damaged by the previous owner and I mistakenly tossed it out during a garage clean out.
The last picture is of this set up before it was pulled from the engine. With this set up the fan is mounted to the thermostat housing instead of the water pump. Which allowed the engine to be mounted lower and the radiator mounted higher.
This also works well in hot rods and other vehicles to swap a 240/300 inline 6 into them.
