Description:
Had to change my transmission case due to a cracked bell housing. My new case has a different valve body than my older one so now I am looking for a ford c6 valve body with detent.

Not a transmission guy, but I think that the later one out of a ‘79 will not work. I picked this comment up from another site, “Older C-6 Valve bodies used a spring and ball detent in the Valve Body ( as did C-4's ) later units mid 70's went to Rooster Comb and spring in the case”. It appears that I need a valve body out of an older C6.
