This tailgate was taken off of a new truck over 40 years ago and put into storage. I received it about 10 years ago, and was planning on using it for my own truck restoration, but due to health issues, I couldn't continue with the project. It has NO rust or dents/dings, but there are a few scratches and scrapes from being moved around over the years. I had removed the trim and latch hardware, and also the mounting studs for the lower trim piece (I was intending to not use any of the trim on my project). All that you would have to do is pop rivet the mounting clips back onto the bottom edge for the lower trim installation. The upper finish panel has a couple minor scratches, as you can see in one of the photos There are some stains on the paint on the center panel as well. Other than that, this tailgate is in great original condition. I have all of the original bolts, clips, screws, and latch rods. If you were to replicate this using reproduction parts from LMC or Dennis Carpenter, it would cost well over $1000 and not be true OEM Ford parts. Message me if you need more info or pictures.
Interested in this. Been lurking for a while but registered to contact you about this. It seems I need five posts + ten days before I can PM you, please PM me if you are able. Thank you.
