65 Fairlane project got towed and impounded over the weekend. I was trying to sell it because I have another project to work on.
It has a 289 that runs, but needs some love. Green dot Cruiseomatic transmission shifts well. Manual stearing and breaks. Radio delete.
The good
New brakes and tires all the way around.
New fuel tank.
Floor pans replaced.
Frame solid
Transmission shifts as it should
The bad.
Front transmission seal has failed; loses a punt of fluid every 2-3 miles.
I not asking for anything over the impound fees (but a six of Lone Star would drown my sorrows). Why don't I want any money for me? Because I don't want another classic to go to the scrapper.

Thanks. Got it sold today. I'm writing an article about the experience. I'm calling it converting a four thousand dollar project into four hundred.
