Description:

1961 F100 4X4 78 Bronco chassis + Lots of new parts and an extra set of tires and wheels.
I have for sale my 1961 F100 on a 78 Bronco chassis. The Bronco chassis is 100% original and complete. This truck is registered and insured as a 61 with 5 year tags. There have been a number of upgrades added to this vehicle along with a pictorial history since the vehicle was purchased.
The factory Bronco chassis came with a 351M /C6 and 205 transfer case all in good working order. In addition to the power train I have upgraded the factory 9” 31 spline diff to a Nodular case and Daytona pinion support. Inside the case is a NEW Richmond Helical LSD with only 25 miles run thus far. The used 3:50 gear set is Richmond and in excellent condition.
The front diff is a factory Dana 44 high pinion open knuckle 3:50 ratio with locking hubs in good working condition with no leaks.
The brake system is 100% brand new with 8” Dual diaphragm booster, F350 1 and 1/16” bore master cylinder. Brake lines from master to new P/valve are copper nickel. All hoses are brand new braided stainless and connected to upgraded 75 Ford Galaxie large piston calipers. The brand new rotors are drilled and slotted. The front locking hubs and wheel bearings have been cleaned, repacked with fresh high temp grease and are in good working order. The rear brake shoes, hardware, drums and rubber hose are new. The brake pedal assembly is 5:1 ratio and rebuilt with an upgraded modern easy to replace adjustable brake light switch.
The 61 cab is has been completely rewired with a modern 12 circuit fuse box and harness.
Cab upgrades include the following;
Under dash cleaned and painted.
2 speed wiper motor cleaned and tested with replacement linkage arm and pivot seals.
79 Bronco non tilt steering column with Factory 5 14” steering wheel.
Multi gauge 5” cluster water,temp,volts and oil. Tach and GPS speedo.
Under dash ac unit blows ice cold.
All lights, turn signals, brakes, emergency, reverse work perfectly.
Neutral safety and signal cancel function work as well.
The 351M runs smooth and has good power with no pinging. New parts added to the engine include;
Brand new 150 amp g3 alternator.
New water pump
New power steering pump
New Sanden style ac compressor with a Vintage air built compressor bracket. Large 28"X 18" condenser and custom twin electric fan mount. Ac blows at 30 degrees.
Brand new belts and hoses, Large 3 row brass cross flow radiator originally out of a 75 Galaxie. Custom fan shroud with high flow fan.
Super bright halogen H4 headlights, high and low beams are fed full battery voltage via fused relays so headlight switch stays cool. Porcelain high heat plugs connected to headlights
External Fluidyne 20 row high flow trans cooler coupled with radiator trans cooler.
Also included with the sale of this truck;
A freshly machined 78 400 engine block .030 bore.
Complete balanced rotating assembly 20/20 400 factory crank, factory rods fitted with ARP bolts and Tim Meyer Part #2347 Hyper-Eutectict 13CC step dish pistons and rings.
Fresh built D1AE cyl heads fitted with comp cam springs and retainers to run with a XE262 H-10 cam.
A Weiand old school made in USA 8010 aluminum 4 barrel intake with a Holley 650 vacuum sec carb.
Also included is a 66 styleside bed in good condition to be modified to fit the 104" bronco wheelbase.
There are many more upgrades to list so you are encouraged to call 602-330-2610 The price is negotiable, lets make a deal!

Were you just building this to sell? I would be out romping the backcountry if I had built a truck like this.

Still for sale?

I know it's an older post but wondering if you sold your flairside?
Thanks.
