Description:

My father bought this from the original owner near Omak, Washington.  He since added airbags to help with his camper.  He's had it for about 10 years or so, getting older, and doesn't drive it.  Run's great - has the FE 390 4 speed.  Original paint and interior.  No rust as far as we know (this is the dry side of Washington).  Runs good, drives ok.  Dad said with a load it seems squirrely to him.  I suspect tires, since he's had everything inspected which checked out fine, but who knows.  Miles are actual.  A very nice unmolested truck.

Am I out of bounds with the price considering its condition? Honest question and would appreciate perspectives.

The current market for used ANYTHING has gone a bit crazy lately, so this price may not be as out of line as some people might first assume. Long story longer, I've seen similar stuff selling for $10,000 and $12,000 in recent years, but prices have gone a bit crazy since 2021, so $14,000 doesn't sound shocking. A lot will depend upon what is broken and what is working. The 93k mileage should be enough to get collectors to really want to talk to you. The low mileage is what really makes your price less crazy than some might think. You're simply not going to find these old things with that low of an odometer very often. 3 years ago I passed on the chance to buy a 77 F250 for $750. It ran, and had half-way decent tires, but it had seen a lot of years of hard use. That same year I saw another 77 that looked like it spent most of its life in a garage or a barn, out of the sun ---- not perfect, but very good condition with low miles, and the owner wanted $24,000. I don't know what he ended up getting for it. Between the two, I definitely would have rather grabbed the beat-up one for $750, but even the $24,000 one is still just a fraction of the price of a new F250, and for some people, a much more attractive vehicle.

I appreciate the feedback and hopefully will have more details to post soon. My parents went on vacation so I haven't bothered them.
Thanks again.
