Ford F-250 Super Duty 2011 - 2016
Description:

Looking for a factory harness for clearance lights, new or used.  Ford Part number is BC3Z-15A404-B, but apparently it is backordered nation wide, and I can't find in at a junkyard.  Anyone have one laying around that they are willing to part with?

Thanks,

Would this work? Doesn’t appear backordered. https://www.fordpartscatalog.com/oem...ly-gc3z15a404s

I really don't know... I wish there was a part number decoder out there somewhere that would provide some detail on what was what. I'll see what I can find.

Edit: Looks like this is off a 16. Inquiring on availability now.

Yeah i couldn’t get one anywhere yet either. Tried three different places with no luck. Not sure why there’s a run on clearance light harnesses all of a sudden.

Who knows, I vote we blame the 'rona! That being said, I have found the most necessary parts to build one yourself, and this is what I am opting to do.

We already have the 6 pin connecter under the driver feet, it is the same connector that the air bags use, we just need the necessary pins for this to add our wires for the lamps to. I'm still looking for the $0.15 option for 2 terminals though. I can report back what I find.

The connectors for the lights are WPT-1304 pigtails, also # 3U2Z-14S411-UYB, and you can buy 5 of these if you want, to the tune of $25 each... Or, you can get 5 of these https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=735 for $2.87 each. This is the same part that ford uses.

The connector under the dash is WPT-962 (Silver) or # 3U2Z-14S411-JBB, if you choose to go this route for $45.

The factory wires are yellow with a green strip, and black with a white stripe. I suspect that the factory wire is 16GA, but that is a guess, and should be sufficient for the current required. I have roll of black stranded and a roll of yellow stranded wire from Waytek on the way, along with the parts above. My current plan is to pull the current harness, add on the two wires for the clearance lights, in parallel, drill 15 holes in the roof of my truck, and hope for the best. Once I get around to this, I'm debating a build post on the wiring harness, not the install, as that dead horse has been beaten. If you are interested in this, let me know, and I'll be happy to post it, and I can link it back here for easy access.
