FORD F150 F250 F350 F450 F550 Superduty Cab Chasis Rear Backup Camera
This fits 2017 - 2021 trucks. MSRP $725 can be found for $583.
For use with Sync 3 (913) and Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera Systems (874)
It integrates with your dash screen. One side is 20’ long. The other side 50’ long. 70’ total. This will fit most any trailer.
If 12 pin round plug matches your Truck trailer plug it will work. I found it fits into the 7/12 pin trailer plug with the supplied 12 pin cable. You can change out the 7/4 plug for a 7/12 pin plug very easily. The cable has 2 ends on them. One is for TPMS (4 pin) and two is for the camera (6 pin flat)
The camera stays on when you drive. It is not just a reverse camera.
You have to reach 6 mph for it to activate when moving forward.
TPMS sensor is NOT INCLUDED. Yaw sensor not included.
Includes all items necessary to complete the camera installation.
You will need to confirm that you can install this part on your truck, as there are no returns for fitment issues.
The part numbers are irrelevant. If it plugs in it works. There is no computer on the wiring, camera, or the sensors. The camera box says HC3JA515CCSUB1 it is placed over another sticker that says HC3J 19H391 CA.
Ford keeps changing the part numbers. A camera from 2017 will work fine on a 2021 truck for instance. But, the part numbers maybe different.
You may have to change your truck side plug if its a 7/4. A 7/12 drops right in and plugs into the truck harness. There are 2 connection points on the truck. One on the frame for 5th wheels and one above the spare for bumper pulls. It took me 6 minutes to place my 7/12 plug. You can add the 5th wheel plug with an additional harness extension. There is a tube video of it.
SSM 48602 - 2020 F-Super Duty - Incorrect Or Missing Factory Invoiced Accessory (FIA) Trailer Camera Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Kits Some 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles were shipped with incorrect FIA trailer camera/TPMS kits and some vehicles ordered with the Trailer TPMS only kit did not ship with the kit. The only accessory trailer kit which can be used on 2020 vehicles is the Trailer Camera only kit HC3J-1A515-CC. Do not attempt to install kits (HC3J-1A515-AC or BC) with trailer TPMS. Vehicles equipped with fifth wheel prep pack and Pro Trailer Backup Assist should install the provided trailer yaw sensor kit 14G551 and plug the yaw sensor wiring into the 12-way bed connector. The trailer camera only kit that shipped with the vehicle can be installed as it connects to the bumper mounted 7/12 trailer connector provided. Follow Super Duty Owners Manual Park Aid section to display trailer Auxiliary Camera view. Trailer TPMS only kit is still unavailable. Monitor OASIS for updates.
I believe you have to read the bulletin looking at the details. The key word is kit. All the consumer added trailer backup cameras are the same. I think what they are referring to is the contents of the kits.
I could try it out on my 2020 to ensure it will work. I can also offer you a return if it does not.
Sorry if I am reading it wrong. This started as the full camera and TPMD kit but doesn't include any of the TPMS parts? Also does not include the 7/12 replacement? What makes this different then the $300 camera Kit from Ford?
I could try it out on my 2020 to ensure it will work. I can also offer you a return if it does not.
If you could try it out on your 2020 to make sure it actually connects and displays that would save us both some trouble.
To be clear - I have a 2020 450 with the 360 cameras, 5th wheel prep (inside and outside bed 7/12 connectors) and the "customer placed trailer camera kit.
I installed the yaw sensor and camera on my 45th wheel (did not install TPMS).
So what I want to do is add a second camera to a second trailer and this is a bumper pull.
So if your camera works using the bumper 12 way connector, then it is what I am looking for.
I just finish testing it and it works as designed. You can use the QR code below or paypal to bigadventure at frontier dot com. Or if you would rather send a postal money order that would work too. But its slower. I will ship it free.
