Actually I cheated on the cab and bed removal. Both were in such bad shape I didn't intend on reusing them (I have another donor truck).
To remove them I literally flipped them off to the side. Both ended up upside down next to the frame.
When it comes time to replace them I'm planning on using my engine hoist. I saw somewhere a company makes an "extension" for the hoist specifically for removing and mounting beds and cabs. I'm going to try and find them or if that fails I'll fab my own.

What did you use to hoist the cab from the frame? Your post has inspired me to start on my truck =P. I've got a tractor and an engine hoist.
