Hi Mark - 3 things of concern.
*used an 11" TC (Transtar FM-70) -Std 12 didn't fit- The new engine has less HP & torque than 5.4 did.
*moved the trans cooler underneath - air flow is reduced.
*trans sits at 6-7 degree incline -input higher than output -fluid level off?
I get Trans Malfunction w/ p705, p708, p1702 codes & high temps
Ordered new range sensor - & suctioned 1 qt out - cleaned harness. Helped a little but still get codes- but less frequently. Codes more so hot than cold.
After 30 min , I see temps at 215. Any hills or hard accel- I can see 230? These temps are w/ unloaded truck- stock tires, air temps @ 40 deg F.
I think I need more fluid? Hoping the trans malfunction IS the range sensor or wiring ? waiting on new sensor. I'd love your thoughts... especially on fluid lev and temps

I don't know a great deal about the 4R75E, but I'll take a shot at your questions.

Thanks for what you do for the community. I have a few 4R75E questions on a 2006 f150 4x4 that I converted to a diesel (Mercedes OM606- turbo diesel engine). Questions mostly related to fluid level and operating temps. I'm sure your busy but if you can help- please reply.
