will wheels from a 96 F250/350 fit a highboy?

I was looking at a set of wheels my buddy had. they are off a 96 F350 4x4. will these wheels fit my 74 F250? I believe they are 16"

I bought wheels and tires off of a 02 Ford 250 for my 78 F250. They don't fit. From what I've learned they have changed wheel lug layout a couple times through the years.

If anyone has the measurements please share.

I found this... Do you have 8 lug or 5?

you are saying wheels off your buddies F-250/350 which is an 8 lug so I am assuming you have an 8 lug as well (I'd guess you're smart enough to not think the 8 lug wheels would bolt on a 5 lug truck ). If so the wheels will fit.

Exclamation '02 metric

The Super Duty trucks have a metric bolt pattern and will not interchange with the Standard bolt pattern older trucks. You said the wheels were off of an '02 right? and you want them on a dent side, right? no fit.

I guess if you had a big enough hammer they would fit, but they might wobble uncomfortably........

Hard to see in this pic, but these are the aluminum wheels off a 92-97 F-250/350. They have 315/75r16 tires (35") and look dang good on our trucks if I do say so myself!

1997 and older have the same 8 bolt pattern, when the 99 250/350's came along they went to metric and won't fit anything older. Same idea for the 150, 96 and older will fit the older 150's , in 97 the F150's went metric so they won't fit anymore.

Even though there are some design changes, mostly to do with stock wheel cover placements, all those years are interchangeable.

And just to confuse you all - or to rather show how idiotic/confusing Ford is - the wheels on my crew pictured above came off a 2009 E-350 van. Apparently the vans (maybe just 8 lug - maybe not) have still yet to change to metric like the trucks did in 97 (F-150) and 99 (F-250/350).

The last full redesign of the Econoline was in 1992. Not only will wheels still work because of this, but certain rear axle combos too.

Again, not too familiar with the E-150 on this either.
