removing window regulator

Hello,
Step three in the 1946 service manual instructs "Remove the link stud lock from each stud, and remove the regulator links from the window channel." I will try to attach a picture of the innards---
. I need advice about what to remove from what, and how this fitting is fastened.
Thanks guys,
Tom in Terre Haute

You need to upload the pic to your gallery or to an image hosting site, like Photobucket. Then link the pic from there. All I see in your post is:

I always just unscrew the reg from the door, slowly let the window and the reg slide down until you can see the arms and channel through the access hole, then just wiggle the reg around until i can get the arms to just slide out of the window channels at the bottom of the window frame. They are quite easy to slide out, no need to remove any stud locks. Thats how I have always removed the windows and regulators.

Gary nailed it.. Just remembered a rookie question from before. PUSH the reg inside the door, so the handle post is inside as well...

Good luck.. PS. keep window frame up in window opening, don't let it drop inside door. After the reg is disengaged, turn curved part of frame 90 degrees up into window opening and out of side channels, then slide window up and out through window opening.
