Engine / hesitation of power
I have a 91 f150 4.9 liter 5 speed. I just changed the ring gear and pinion from a 2.73 to a 4.10. The truck accelerates great and is running fine...except the speedometer is off by around 15 to 20 mph faster, and the truck stops when the speedometer is at 90mph but only going about 70mph, soon as I go under 90mph the truck accelerates again.

There is a module under the glove compartment, i think it's called the PSOM. It's actually not really a module... just a wire leading to a little grey plastic connecter. You need to ground this out and turn the key to 'On'. From there you can change the ratios so your speedometer is accurate. I'm not sure how wide the range is though.
I thought that the speed limiter was at 100 something, but i'm not sure.
There's a link floating around with a chart for the ratios for your speedometer somewhere...
