Cost for transmission seals?
I have a 98 Mazda 2500 2wd automatic and yesterday while going to my parts supplier to pick up some brake pads and I noticed that the tranny slipped a little when I turn a corner. I pulled over and checked the fluid and much to my dismay the dipstick was nearly dry. I shut it off and bought a quart of fluid and after I addded that I drove on to the parts place. I got the brake parts and more atf. When I started the truck to recheck the fluid I looked under it and discovered that I have a serious leak that appears to be from the front seal. I am not able to get under a vehicle any longer and I was just wondering what the fair price would be to have this repaired? I am on a fixed income so if it too much I guess I could trade it for something that will get me to the grocery and doctors.
I really don't want to part with the truck. I bought it new and it only has 90,000 miles on it. Any thoughts on the cost? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

IMO your best bet is to have a repair shop put the truck on a lift for a closer inspection. A decent technician should be able to identify the cause of the leak and point it out to you, at which time you can inquire about prices.
