I just bought my first Ford...

1979 Ford F-250 Custom. Got it for $800. Drives, decent tires, leaky transmission pan gasket, needs new belts and new interior. Basically needs some work, and I'm not good at programming a microwave. Hopefully this, with the aid of a few manuals and some tools, will help me along the way.

Otherwise, any advice?

Buy yourself a set of factory service manuals, a decent starter set of Craftsman tools, befriend the counter guy at your favorite parts house, Napa etc., spend your weekends in driveway greasy up to the elbows and cussing, expect one repair to lead to another then another, it's an addiction, welcome to the asylum.
