Anyone ever have a Sliding Rear Window Leak?

My sliding rear window is an older one that I put in my 77. When it rains the inside slider channel fills with water to the point of overflowing. For some reason the drain holes don't seem to help much. I figure the water is getting in via the split window and running under the sliders(worn weatherstripping) or it could be going in between the window glass and the seal to the frame.

Any ideas from those who've been there?

Mine leaked to the point of rusting the floor in the rear of my super cab out. I fixed it with a stock solid window. I have never seen one that didn't leak after a few years.

they all leak. the replacements will probably leak after a while as well. Not much you can do.

Easy Fix!

go to salvage yard and grab a sliding or fixed window from a late 90's F series. Swap the window out!

You will get a much newer window and better performing seal!

You can usually get them from the salvage yard on the cheap. And they are super easy to swap out!

Misery does indeed, love company.

I've got a few ideas I'm going to try out. I'll post here if anything works or doesn't.

The windows changed after 1996, and will not work in our dents.
