I'm pretty good with mechanical issues but wiring sometimes gives me a headache! lol I have a 1979 Ford F100 that has been modified - VIN says it's a 2WD w/a 302ci. - It has been changed to a 4WD w/a 351W(found that out when I researched the VIN)
My Issue: When I turn on the lights I am not getting any power to the rear and the signals aren't working front or rear. Also no brake lights when pedal is pushed. Fuses were checked first, then flasher relays. Is there maybe a connector that may be loose at the rear somewhere that might be causing this problem? P/O says that the lights worked before but the truck was parked for a few months before I bought it. I know from previous experience that something like this could be a host of things but since it's been several years since I worked on a 73-79 Ford, I thought someone might have a little insight, something I might not have known about... Thanks in advance!
I was reading a thread not long ago about getting a bed out of a junk yard and someone had said the bed and rear harness connect at the frame somewhere around the drivers door on the frame. Maybe came loose?
