I completed the spring swap! every EX owner should do this.

A few months ago. I installed some V code springs on my wifes 05 Ex. Today I paid a friend (I had wrist surgery) to install the P code 6830# springs onto the rear with the stock 2.25 inch blocks. Wow it was night and day difference with just the front springs, but it is night and day difference with these springs too. It lifted it about 1.5 inch. No driveline shudder, corners well, all around WAY better. I encourage anyone to upgrade your springs, you will have a much better ride for everyday driving and towing! I will try to post a picture.

You have to use a photo site like photobucket and post the direct link to it.....you can't post a pic directly on here

See if you can figure it out ! I want to see how it looks ! Does it sit level ??

Suprise350sport, I have a gas powered 2004 Limited with 60k on the odo. I am interested in the spring swap you did. Where did you order the springs from and what was the cost? Since the diesel is heavier than the gas model should I look for a different rated spring?

What does the driveline shudder feel like? Does it feel like a tire vibration and manifest itself at higher speeds?

Hey guys heres a quick response as we are packing to move. I will work on putting the pics up later today.

I have no drive line shudder at all and I towed with it yesterday and it tows better.

I used some V code front and P code rear of a friends 04 f350 with 40k miles on them. I paid $100 bucks for the 4 springs.

The P code springs are rated the same as the B codes in weight but no one on this site or any other could tell me what the differences are.
I took a chance with them and they are fine.
I will get the pics up later

I need to know the details and if it sits level or not.....you need to add 2" hangers to V's to get it to sit level with B codes on the rear....are the P's the same way ???

Subscribing for details as well. I would think the P codes just came off the F350. The B codes were F250s right, not sure.

On my 02 in sig, it has V,s and B,s so my point is that B,s also go on 350,s. I have not heard of P,s, what year and model did they come off of?

I have seen P codes on F250s as well. Another friend has one with these.

I did not take any measurements before I did the swap.

We are leaving the state and moving to New York to work for Sikorsky Helicopter.

The Excursion almost sits level.

Update

Update. I measured the hieght with ~50psi in the tires. ~38.25 inches in the front and ~40.25 in the rear plus or minus .25 inches side to side.
The ride is vastly improved and my wife told me that it is just the way she wanted it, no more wallowing around or bottoming out.
Now all I need are some new shock. I am using the rancho from the FX4 stock package on front and stock in the rear.
I am thinking of bilsteins. Any other recomendations?
