I woke up this morning and the clock on my oven said 5. I sat down at the computer and starting up my internet browser, then I blinked my eyes and it clock went right to 6. Am I going crazy or what? My cell phone also said 6, so it must've been the right time. Usually they advertise changing your clocks ahead extensively. This year I haven't herd anything about it, until now. It seems pretty early in the year to be jumping ahead, but I think they changed that a few years ago.I'm still not sure.

It's funny how they used to talk about it on the news, and reminders all over the place. This year I hadn't heard anything about it, and it's not even on the calender. It's just something that happens.
they did advertise it around here on the local news, they always do. I guess they don't want people being late for work, lol. didn't affect my kids in the least little bit, they slept till 10 this morning lol.
It's been mentioned on the local weather report a few times, then the news cow said last night that "It's time to say goodbye to daylight savings". I don't know how she keeps her job, aside from me being the only idiot up at 11 to see her constant gaffes.
Luckily we don't have to do the "spring ahead, fall back" routine here, we get plenty of sun without needing any extra!

My brother lives in Lake Havasu. He works for the Wagner Bro's excavation company. They don't have any work now, but he stays busy anyway turning wrenches. I was going to call him today too, I still may. I was thinking about paying him a visit, but I'm not sure if I can afford it.
They mentioned it on the news in my area and it's also on my calendar. I wish that they'd take a national poll on this to see if people would rather that it stay the same time all year, or continue switching back and forth. And also... if we kept it the same all year if they'd like it to be DST or the other way. I'd choose to keep it DST all year around. Switching seems rough on some people, and even animals, and it being dark at 5:00 pm in the winter just doesn't feel right to me.

The winter months are really tough on us letter carriers as it gets dark so early. It's dangerous being on the street at dusk and after dark. The landscape that one gets to know so well in daylight changes in the absence of light.
I think they need to change the daylight savings periods again so we can go out and reprogram all of the alarm systems, update firmware and the whole mess that goes with it. /sarcasm
