I want my Beast back

I did the 50 cent mod (thanks to FTE, you guys are the best) and it worked, I even purchased AE from Riff Raff. I now have a truck that runs, but doesnt have that Beast power anymore. I ran E and got P1247/P1248/P0476. Did I out something back on wrong, or what can someone pls help. Pictures will also help, cause I read in the threads that it could be the AP sensor, or routing, I know where the sensor is, but dont know how it is sppsd to route. I checked my boots and they are tight, pls HELP.

There should be both a wiring harness and a hose attached to the MAP. The other end of the hose should attach to the intake spider.

If you've got AE, use it to monitor the MAP reading (don't rememver what AE calls it) and compare it to BARO. You could also try unplugging the MAP sensor to see what kind of difference that makes on a test run.

Chris I unplugged the MAP sensor, and my Beast was back, so now I need to go get a new one. I have a question though, is there sppsd to be a vacuum hose attached to the MAP sensor? I do not have one, and where is the hose sppsd to lead to?

Hmmm, you should have a line running from the plastic barb on the MAP sensor, to the 5-way plenum in the center of the engine. When viewing from the front of the truck, there should be a 90* elbow toward the passenger side a bit. The OEM hose has the standard plastic lume around it, and can be mistaken for an electrical line. Get that all hooked back up, and I bet things will be MUCH better.

I don't have a "good" picture of the line your looking for, but if you click on the thumb nail, and zoom in, the line is just to the left of the Oil filler tube. (corrugated like lume) See where it connects to the plenum below the waste-gate solenoid. You'll have something sticking out down there (either the hose, or a barb) Hope that helps. I'm sure someone will be along shortly that will have a MUCH better picture.

I have the corrugated lume, but it only has the wires that go to the bottom of the MAP sensor, but I have no tube to attach to the barb on the bottom of the MAP

As Clux said earlier. The hose should go from under the map sensor over to the intake spider.

Glad to hear you're making progress on this.

It has to be there. It could have easily gotten bumped off the MAP sensor when you were pulling valve covers.
Why don't you take a look at the spider and follow it from there.

OK I checked again to make sure I wasnt crazy, my MAP doesnt have a vacuum hose going to the spider. I looked at the spider and cant find a hose there either (only wires). I have 3 wires in a corrigated lume going to the MAP sensor. What is this hose needed for, cause since I had the truck (1 year) it never had one, and I got it for a steal from a wholesaler.

It's not "vacuum" technically, but there is a hose running there. Here's what mine looks like, which will be a bit different from stock because I have an Overboost Annihilator in line (**** on the far left side of the pic):

That hose is what gives your MAP sensor something to read.

Told you it was there
