I've been trying to tighten the financial belt lately, so in addition to doing my oil changes, I decided to try and do as much of the 45k maintenance as I can.
When I got down the checklist to chassis lubrication, I hit a bit of a snag. I bought the Chilton book, hoping that it would be some help... but I can't for the life of me find all of the grease fittings/plugs. I noted two on the front steering, but that's all I could find. Does anyone know of an actual list, for this truck (06 gasser, FX4), of points that need to be lubricated? Or is there any book that actually has more detail then "get under the truck and find all of the grease fittings and plugs"?
It really depends what has been changed. There are options for ball joints and ujoint. pretty much look for anything that moves and see if it has zerks. Look at the ball joints, steering links, ujoints (axle, front shaft and rear shaft), bushings like sway bar links and shackle bushings.
