I have a '98 F250LD (ext cab sbox) with the 5.4L, 3.73 rear end, and extra leaf springs that I use to pull a 6x16 gooseneck livestock trailer. I'm looking at buying a 94 F250 with a 351 5sp, reg cab long box, 4.10 rear end, for a hunting/farm pickup. My question is how would this 351 pull compared to my 5.4? The power numbers are relatively close since its a early model 5.4. I think they would pull about the same, the 351 maybe just a little better since it has 4.10 gears and the 5sp. What do you guys think?
The 94 has 111,000 and is a XL but has been taken good care of and I know the guy that has owned it. It has american racing rims with near new tires and chrome trim on it with little rust. It has a ball and trailer brake controller already installed. He's asking 2500 which is about right, what are your opinons on the price? TIA
