Nice pics, thank you. If the air dam on the front of the SD gets any lower it'll be a scrapping on an incline.

I was thinking the same thing. I saw it and just got this image of it being broken or pieces chipped off. I wonder why they keep lowering it. Plus what if someone wants to put a plow on it, do they take the whole thing off or just cut out a section.

I would guess they either notch it or the plow supplier may have a replacement kit available already fabricated to accept the plow gear.

Generally the lower valance comes off for a plow application...although I have seen some installers notch them.

Its there for aerodynamics (gas milage), its easily removable though

One of the biggest aero "foibles" of a vehicle is the air that passes underneath a vehicle, and you want to channel it over or around the vehicle instead.

Its why "tin top" racers will run such a large (and low) front splitters where they can, like this Aston Martin.

I went to the auto show on Friday and it was kinda disappointing. They didn't really have a lot of new stuff there. Ford did have a nice booth though. I'm pretty sure the whole economy thing played a huge role in the lack of new vehicles.
