SEAT CONVERSIONS

I just bought a 79 F150 4WD with the super cab. It has the jump seats in the back and a bench in the front. Has anyone done a conversion to put some nice buckets in the front and a bench in the back? Is it possible? Can you just drill new holes for the seat posts? Thanks for the space, any help is appriciated.

I have been aghast at the cost of aftermarket seat setups and also very impressed with some upholstery shop work I've seen. Consider having the stock seats rehabilitated (springs, foam) and recovered in fabric of your choosing. I've gotten quotes of $300-500 for this to be done to my bench seat. I saw some finished work that looked really nice. The 90's truck seats are pretty nice but check out what the wrecking yard wants for them.

A lot of the local junkyards around here sell pairs of bucket seats for $15, the real nice ones for $25, I think for that price it is worth it to make the seats work, and you might find some that would bolt on without much work.

...and the rear bench should be a bolt in swap as it was an option.
